The Montana Rescue Mission (MRM) unveiled the completed Unified Campus on Tuesday, May 20th, at its Grand Opening Celebration.  MRM staff and board members welcomed the community with tours, a ribbon cutting, and a private dinner event to celebrate a new facility that has been under construction for six years.  The Project was made possible by the generosity of our community and the steadfast commitment of our supporters.

Guests from across Billings and beyond gathered to participate in a day filled with gratitude, connection, and promise.  As visitors explored the campus, they enjoyed light refreshments and warm conversations with MRM staff, volunteers, and community leaders. The event began with guided tours of the new campus, providing attendees with a firsthand look at the thoughtfully designed spaces where lives will be transformed through safe shelters, counseling rooms, job training areas, and communal gathering places that foster hope and healing.

The official program reflected on the vision’s process and the impact this new space will have on transforming the lives of those experiencing homelessness. Speeches featured moving remarks from MRM leadership, Board Chair Tim Mascarena, Executive Director Matt Lundgren, local dignitaries, and several donors whose contributions made the campus a reality. The highlight of the ceremony was the ribbon cutting, a symbolic moment of opening doors to new opportunities and brighter futures.  The day concluded with an exclusive dinner for event sponsors and major donors. This special gathering was a chance to thank those whose generosity helped us complete this milestone, and to share in the excitement for what lies ahead.

We were honored to recognize the many individuals and organizations throughout the day who helped bring this dream to life. From long-time partners to first-time donors, each donor involved is a reminder of the collective effort it takes to create meaningful change.

Thanks to you, the Unified Campus opens to represent hope, dignity, and a renewed commitment to serving our neighbors in need. As we move forward, we are filled with gratitude and are inspired by the continued support of a community that believes in second chances.

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate this new beginning.
