Volunteer

Volunteering at Montana Rescue Mission means

more than just giving time.

It means feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, cherishing the forgotten, and sharing the love of Christ!

Serving Meals, Sharing Hope

Serve a Meal

We strive to provide nourishing meals for our shelter guests, recognizing that in each act of kindness, we share not only sustenance but also the warmth of love and understanding. Join us in making a difference as we extend a helping hand and a comforting meal to those seeking refuge.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. – Mathew 25:35

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of volunteer roles are available, and do I need special skills to participate?

We offer a variety of roles to suit different interests and skills. Opportunities range from serving meals, cleaning, and organizing events to sharing professional expertise. While some roles may require specific skills, many tasks are open to anyone willing to help.

Can I volunteer as part of a group, with my family, workplace or church?

Absolutely! We welcome group volunteering. It’s a fantastic team-building activity and a great way to make a collective impact. Contact our volunteer coordinator to discuss available group opportunities today.

What is the process after I apply?

To get started, you will need to complete a volunteer application. You can fill out a volunteer application online. Once your application is complete, a background check will be processed. Afterward, we will give you a quick tour of our facility and add you to the volunteer schedule.

Can my children volunteer with me?

Absolutely! We love to have volunteers of all ages; however, we don’t encourage parents to bring babies to avoid any potential illness. Also, volunteers must be at least 14 to serve hot meals.  Our volunteer coordinator can provide specific details based on your interests and availability.
