With cooking and turkey prep underway days in advance, Thanksgiving dinner is ready to be served to 450 people. We are planning to serve both our shelter guests and the public with a complete sit-down, restaurant-style meal with turkey, mashed potatoes, casseroles, rolls, and pie for dessert. The day of the event will involve approximately 40 volunteers, following a week of preparation behind the scenes.

Last year, we served roughly 370 people, and we are planning to see a significant increase that corresponds to a rising need for assistance within our community. As such, we plan on continuing the services we offer to reflect our long standing mission of reflecting the love of Jesus by caring for anyone experiencing hunger and homelessness.

We want to thank Q2 for getting the word about our Thanksgiving meal out there and sharing the particulars of everything that goes into making such a great event possible. To read the full story, check out their website here.
