In Case You Missed It, S.O.U.L. Launches at MRM

Billings Symphony recently launched a new outreach program, S.O.U.L. (Symphony Outreach for Unhoused Lives), bringing the uplifting beauty of classical music to homeless individuals. Its kick-off concert was a woodwind quintet that was performed at the Montana Rescue Mission for residents and staff. 

Hoping to be a moment of calm, connection, and hope, the realization for the program came from a desire to reach out to the “unhoused” population. 

“Music is a human right.” Brad Constantine, the COO of the symphony, emphasized. 

Going forward, the symphony plans to rotate different symphony ensembles through shelters and recovery centers, extending beyond its first performance.
