Women & Children
The causes for homelessness are many and complex, however the reality is that these people are in crisis. The most innocent victims of this trend are the children. The services offered by the Montana Rescue Mission meet women and women with children at their point of need. We start by working with them to address the root issues that brought them to our doors and how to progress to the next step in their journey.
Three nutritious meals a day are served in our dining room. However, for the protection of our guests, meals at the Women’s and Children’s Shelter are only available to shelter guests.
Beyond the Basics
In addition, there are educational opportunities to improve skills and a dedicated computer lab that can be used for resume preparation, job searches and GED preparation.
We have partnered closely with School District #2 to help homeless children succeed in school. In addition, we have a partnership with the Friendship House to give children the opportunity to participate in program activities.
The Women’s & Children’s Shelter is located at 2520 1st Avenue North and can be reached by calling (406) 259-3105.
