When you donate items to our Bargain Center thrift stores, the item is first evaluated on whether it is a current need in the shelters. If it is, it is delivered to the shelters for guest use. If it is not, it is then sold at an affordable price to the public to provide financial support to our shelters and meal program.
100% of net income from our Bargain Centers supports our life changing programs. So, when you donate to our thrift stores, you are supporting those in need of assistance right here in our community. Your donation may also be used in response to emergency needs in our community.
The Bargain Center ministry began as a way to more efficiently handle and utilize the in-kind donations from the generous Billings community. Guests at the Men’s Shelter or the Women & Children’s Shelter that are in need of clothing or furniture, may obtain them through or voucher program.
For your convenience, we have secure donation boxes for non-breakable items to be left after hours. Please keep in mind that donations left out overnight are not only exposed to the elements, but are usually ransacked or stolen. These items often times need to be thrown away.
To receive a receipt or for larger and breakable donations, items can be dropped off at both stores Monday-Saturday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Due to the generosity of our community, there are times that we may have to temporarily close the donation drop off to ensure the donations are brought into the building prior to the store closing. To make sure your trip to our store is successful; we encourage you to call in advance. At this time we are unable to provide our donation pick up service.
